Meet Christine

Christine Schumann, Owner

Christine holds a bachelor’s degree in Financial Management and Economics, and an MBA, both from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. After years in financial management, Christine followed her heart and opened her FirstLight franchise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in her community.

“I wanted the next chapter of my life to be filled with purpose. Home care is more than services. It’s about changing lives, including my own. I think of my grandmother, still living independently at 93, or my friend balancing caregiving and work. These stories are everywhere, and I wanted to be part of the solution. That’s why I started FirstLight.”

Christine lives in the Twin Cities area and is passionate about building a team that leads with heart, integrity, and care.

Do you provide services in my area?

Yes – we serve Hopkins, Minnetonka, Minneapolis, Bloomington, Edina, Golden Valley, Burnsville, Apple Valley and nearby surrounding communities. If you’re unsure, give us a call and we’ll confirm.

Can care be customized for unique needs?

Absolutely. A Registered Nurse will develop a unique care plan that is 100% individualized and takes into account all your needs.

What payment solutions do you offer?

We work with Private Pay as well as Long Term Care Insurance, and for Veterans we work directly with your VA benefits. We are able to handle all claims work for you as well.
